[Bug 1067077] [NEW] Kernel panic at shutdown

2012-10-15 Thread Philipp Trommler
Public bug reported: Sometimes, circa three times of ten, kernel panics on shutdown. Before, shutdown just stucked, with no error messages or blinking lights on the keyboard. Now, for some reasons, all the shutdown messages are laid on top of the purple screen (where the "Ubuntu" letters and the

Not sure whether it works with the new kernel. Pressing shutdown, the screen becomes black, and the PC is off in under a second, no splash screen or anything. Could be a crash or a very fast shutdown. I got some error messages installing the new kernel, sorry I could only save the last. ** Tags a

It did occur before, since I bought my new PC (first version was 11.04), but as I had an old and buggy FW for my SSD, I thought that this was the problem. But I upgraded the FW before installing Precise. And untill about last week, it didn't happen that often, maybe once in twenty times. -- You r
