I'm sorry but I won't be able to check this before late september as I'm
not near this PC at the moment. But I will try it and report.

Public bug reported:

Before, shutdown just stucked, with no error messages or blinking lights on the

Not sure whether it works with the new kernel. Pressing shutdown, the
screen becomes black, and the PC is off in under a second, no splash
screen or anything. Could be a crash or a very fast shutdown.
I got some error messages installing the new kernel, sorry I could only
save the last.

It did occur before, since I bought my new PC (first version was 11.04),
but as I had an old and buggy FW for my SSD, I thought that this was the
problem. But I upgraded the FW before installing Precise. And untill
about last week, it didn't happen that often, maybe once in twenty
times.

the new kernels and updating grub, I don't see the stack trace anymore,
just the Ubunut letters. Hopefully, I don't have to wait till 3.7 to
have this work again.

Just reinstalled with 12.10, since now no kernel-panics, but no fglrx,
either. May be caused by it, but though I need to install it (Blender,
some gaming, etc), so it would be really nice, if it would work with
fglrx installed.
