Hi all
I can confirm this bug occurs on the Toshiba Satellite A30 Laptop also.
The bug still exists for me in a fully patched 9.04 installation as of
about 30 minutes ago.
The machine is a P4 Mobile, Intel 82852 Chipset.
As above the problem is resolvable by passing nosmp or nolapic to the kern

Hi guys
I think I'm experiencing the same bug.
About 15-30 seconds after inserting my DWL-G650+ card the machine
freezes and the CAPS Lock light starts blinking.
I am running 8.10 with all updates including proposed and backports and
still getting the same issue.

I've just looked at the output of dmesg for the current session now and
it's showing more than the log file I've attached, so I'm attaching the
output of "dmesg > dmesg.txt" incase it's of any more use.
NB: This is the same session where I plugged in then remove the wireless
card before the crash
FYI the start up freezing is still present on a Toshiba Satellite A30
under Jaunty, I'm currently working around it using the nosmp parameter.
Before Jaunty I was also able to work around this with a custom DSDT,
although as per the above posts this is now not an option.
