+1. I am also getting this issue after an update from 8.10 to 9.04
It says I have python-gtk2 installed, but in my
/usr/lib/python2.6
there is no reference to pygtk.

Using the live 6.10 Edgy CD I boot perfectly fine. I try to install to
the local drive. The partition step only has one option "Manually edit
partition table". No other options. After continuing past this, I
realize that no drives are detected at all.
