I can no longer see this bug on my workstation. I don't know what fixed
it. I would consider changing the status to "Fix Released".

I can confirm this bug. I believe it is a gtk filechooser bug and has
nothing to do with firefox. I can reproduce this behaviour in gedit and
gimp. This is a really annoying bug, as we're talking about 25s that it
takes to load the file chooser on my workstation (in every Gnome
application!).

I can confirm that, too with Feisty Fawn final. I removed all but the
ntp.ubuntu.com server, but the above mentioned error messages still
appears.
