in digicam, selecting help -> about digicam says 0.10.0, but say
"Version=0.9.3".
the kdebase-kio-plugins is no longer installed on my system, it was
removed during the upgrade from intrepid to jaunty.
maybe this is a problem with upgrading? the upgrade from intrepid to
jaunty changes kde from 3
hmm, this worked fine after installing the kdebase-kio-plugins package
in Intrepid, but is broken again in Jaunty :( the entry in
~/.kde/share/config/kdeglobals is as suggested above, but without fixing
the problem. other kde apps (from within gnome) see the trash, so it
seems a digikam problem to
same here, issue fixed since last kernel upgrade (with Microsoft Digital
Media Keyboard 3000). never had PPA installed.

@Konstantinos Natsakis: would it be possible to provide a PPA for natty

I just tried the workaround described in the original post, and it
doesn't work:
$ sudo service bluetooth stop
$ sudo rmmod hidp
ERROR: Module rfcomm is in use
this is surprising, since lsmod doesn't list any dependencies for hidp:
$ lsmod |grep hidp
hidp 15019 3
l2cap
more diagnostics:
when I open the bluetooth system preferences, it first takes a long time
until the preferences come up (saying "starting bluetooth" in the
application panel). once the preferences appear, it says "bluetooth is
disabled". when I click on "enable bluetooth", I get this stack trace
same here.
probably the same as bug #591298

finally found a workaround :)
- disable bluetooth from the bluetooth-applet menu *before* suspending
- supend
- resume
- turn bluetooth back on in bluetooth-applet
not sure if/how you can do this without a mouse, I have a second USB
mouse connected to the laptop anyway which I use for this.

@Konstantinos Natsakis: thanks for the info. so let's hope that there
will be an upstream fix.

@Chris Halse Rogers : I can confirm Michael's observation, no (0,0) jump
with Microsoft Digital Media Keyboard 3000. Mouse pointer stays where it
is, left button is clicked and cannot be released. workaround is to
unplug and replug the keyboard to release the mouse klick.

@Thomas Kluyver: you are right, I didn't read the full thread so it
slipped my attention that the (0,0) jump is a problem with the proposed
fix. the behaviour I described is on a vanilla Maverick install.
