I had this same issue with my Dell Latitude D820 after upgrading from
gutsy to hardy. It did affect all my pointer devices (taping the touch
pad, mouse buttons next to the touch pad and USB mouse)
Andrew Oakley's xorg conf did fix the problem for me.

I encountered this same problem after upgrading from gutsy to hardy.

Unwanted workspace switching at screens edge
With the new driver, I've started to get more of something similar –
different colored dots. Before this driver version there wasn't a lot of
them (a few in the boot loading stage), but now there's almost 20 (?!)
of them boot time and they even appear in the desktop sometimes.

I think following applies here:
I opened a folder via "Open With" and then "kdirstat", after this when I tried
opening Places->HomeFolder it opened it with kdirstat.

Both start and seem to hibernate/suspend just fine (power off), but resuming

evolution-scalix-11.4.1.0.tar.gz connector compiled from source on 8.04

I'm trying to open .ram files with firefox 3 b5 and totem starts
_always_, no matter what I do.
I went to edit -> preferences -> applications -> RealAudio Document and
changed it to "Always ask".
Now firefox asks what to do when I click .ram file on web pa

I'm running a dual monitor setup.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Open xfce4-terminal window (I'm sure this has happened with other apps as
well...)
(1 1/2. Remove the menubar)
2. Drag the window to other monitor
3. Right-click the window
-> context menu appears

I have to agree with Lionel, even as I have disabled installing
recommendations myself.
If you have disabled installation of recommended packages, then you
can't expect everything working. At least you should be aware that a
single package won't bring you all the functionality (with depends only)
An issue also concerning app-switcher is that with dual monitor setups
and big resolutions the switcher only appears on the monitor *where the
mouse is*, and that might be quite far away from the point you are
looking to.

180.18.14 in Jaunty. Would testing with Karmic liveCD be enough?

After installing evolution-scalix (version 10.0.0.357-0ubuntu6) I get
evolution-data-server-1.8 crash immediately after logging in to the gnome from
gdm.
I also get whole gnome-panel + evolution-data-server-1.8 crash when I
click the default date/time applet on gnome-pan
