I decided to reopen this bug, since it has reappeared in Karmic Koala.
The file association is missing again. Opening .asc files runs Gedit,
not Seahorse.
Also, in the newest version of Gedit there is no GPG-plugin anymore, so
the situation is much worse than in older Ubuntu versions.

Reproducible, well, I have a HP L2245w external screen connected to my Dell
XPS M1210. This problem emerged with the upgrade to Ubuntu 9.10 *Karmic

On my desktop PC with Xubuntu installed Nautilus fails to open files
properly. Double clicking a file or right click + "Open With *preferred
application name*" does nothing but bring the animated "wait" icon
beside the cursor for a rather long time with nothing happening after
.5.5 in Trusty
- mariadb-10.0 in Xenial
- mariadb-10.1 in Bionic
Disco can sync from Debian, so there is no need to prepare an upload for
it. Cosmic is soon end-of-line, so I don't plan touching it in this
round.
