i rather tend to agree that gdm should check for zero length strings for
the username and simply ignore the enter key in such cases in the
upstream code ... its a minor cosmetical issue though as it behaves
right and tells the user that the data input was invalid. i filed a
gnome usability bug (545

You're right...modules is a directory in /etc. Although I did manually
change anything. It contains a plain text file named
/etc/modules/udftools which contains the following text:

copying over the servers sources.list), adding proper code for it to the

please make sure to test with the distro provided kernels, we can't do
anything about misconfiguration in kernels we do not maintain. also let
me point out again that the build-babbage-rootfs script is not a valid
way of building images beyond a basic test state, there were various
issues with audi

yes, colin is right, karmic will have support for ARMv6 and above only,
ixp4xx was supposed to be removed earlier from the kernel config
already, sorry for the confusion.

does it behave sanely ? i suspect there is either a kernel config option
missing or some service/device that is expected to start in initramfs
