Thanks archdrone,
I've tried it again with your workaround, it works for me too. Perhaps, I
haven't wait long enough, yesterday.
/etc/default/acpi-support says:

It's way too late for packages to be included by default, but it's never too
late to have it added to the repos for download post-install...
It would be great for Intrepid but for now all we need is repo-access to
make it ea
You are right, Daniel - works fine now. I will set the bug status fixed.

Please accept my apology for not posting back here sooner. The bug still

Chris: What part of nq's last comment isn't completely aligned with this
bug description? They and I are still having near identical experiences

- one key or a combination of keys are indefinitely looped
- it often kills off modifier keys (shift, alt
On the crashing note, often when I have things looping, newly launched
apps will crash out. Firefox (latest beta) and Tomboy are two key
examples of this. When I can next safely restart X, I'll force a
modifier key lock-up. I think that's what causes most crashes.

I can't stress how useful this tool is over the rubbish that evdev
mapping makes you go through. This is top stuff and should definitely be
available, if not included and enabled by default!

Pedro: It all (uploading and unmounting) seems to work fine here without

But there are still a load of missing things like: proper bookmarks for

I suspect a lot of you upgraded. I've had this before in previous
upgrade/downgrade issues where Firefox and Thunderbird skitz out and
show horrible fonts. Thankfully the fix is stupidly simple:
sudo fc-cache -fv
Then kill off firefox/tbird and re-launch them. You'll have crisp,
dainty fonts.
