I'm going to try pestering Debian xorg group to include this patch or
push it upstream. It really needs to be addressed as the table is
unusable without it.

I just uploaded a new release 1.17-1 into Debian/unstable. "import lcms" works

looks to be Ubuntu-specific based on the testing I've done as well. I
think that Ubuntu developers should look at their modifications to qt3

There is now an icc-profiles-free package in both Debian and Ubuntu,
which is a subset of the icc-profiles package that only contains DFSG-
