Showing the selected keyboard layout with a popup is a serious usability
regression from the previous behavior - instead of simply looking up to
verify that you switched to the correct layout, you'd have to move your
mouse over to a small area (and not even in a corner so Fitt's law does
not apply)

I can't figure out how to patch a merge request to this package (the
launchpad git configuration does not work for me and/or I cannot figure
the process out) - so here's the patch that should fix this issue:

Launcpad killed all the spaces which are 100% necessary to get this
python code to compile :-( , anyway - contact me if you want the code in

The problem is that impish is using cgroups v2, while the cgroup-tools
is 0.41 (as shown in the report) which supports only cgroups v1.
As the problem is solved in jammy by using cgroup-tools 2.0, and impish
will be out of support in a couple of months - I recommend closing this
issue as "wont fix
