Do we need a debdiff against natty version, or just the maverick one with the
patch applied?
I could prepare and provide any of them.
Let me know,

I guess it is this bug:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/maverick/+source/gnome-settings-daemon/+bug/625793
As it seems, gnome-settings-daemon is to blame and not Oded's patch.
Is there any other annoyance with the proposed patch?
I hope we can get it in the official package some time soon, inst
Small correction above: the patch is from Ilya, not from Oded

I subscribed also Michael in this bug since he made the last ubuntu
specific changes in the package.
I have prepared the -3 revision with the dependency line like this:

I tried this in my PPA for both maverick and lucid and it seems to be ok (you
OK, in this point I guess that the best route is to leave things as they

When #605002 (and/or #604981) get fixed we can drop the ubuntu specific changes
and sync with the -3 revision.
Until then, I am closing this bug, since the 2.2.2-2 version has been merged

Hello Oded,
I think it is a good idea to subscribe the team in this bug report in order to
have their opinion.
And, btw, we should probably move the bug to the appropriate package (it is not
in the control-center it is in xorg)
