I am also able to confirm this on a Thinkpad T61 with the latest kernel
and updates on Gutsy. USB ports stopping to work every 10 minutes on a
very popular business laptop should be a little more than 'medium
importance' IMO.

This for me no longer seems to be reproducible in an up-to-date Gutsy
system. Totem with gstreamer seems to work fine in xv mode under Compiz
with me Intel x3100 card using the Intel drivers.

There was no difference for me after applying your change. It does make
sense but it seems the issues is not with that line, commenting it out
did not allow suspend to return normally.
Taking the acpi_sleep parameter out of the kernel line on boot also did
not help.
This is on a Thinkpad T61
For me this occurs whether or not I have any USB devices plugged in. The
IRQ's vary between 22 and 23 somtimes.
An easy way to see this is to just start a terminal on start-up and
leave it running. After 10 minutes or so T61 users would probably see a
message about it. Or just look at kernel logs,

I tried the BIOS update and it fixes this bug. No more interrupts and
the side USB slots work perfectly.
