I have this same bug on my Pidgin, version 2.5.5 / 2.5.6. Both
windows and Ubuntu versions of pidgin give tons of spam

My 24 inch monitor has a native 1920x1200 resolution. I have this bug on
that monitor. My workaround is working on 1680x1050, but that just looks
ugly. Working on a radeon x1550.

I have this same problem, but my errors are going to my .xsession-errors
file, as I'm starting kodi after logging in instead. Maybe the bug is in
kodi? I'm using kodi 17 beta 4, with Ubuntu 16.04 and kodi 16.1 I did
not have any problems.

I can confirm that updating to python openssl package from Ubuntu 17.04
fixes this issue, after a couple of days running th e system the log
file stays small in size.

Same problem. Anonymous works though! Reinstalled entire system twice
(quantal) and upgraded (do-release-upgrade -d) to raring. Bug occured
both times.
