Mine is the same as above, except that it's en_US instead of GB. I'm
able to reproduce it too with directories that contain Croatian chars.

I've used your PS1 string (both last and the one before). I still CAN
reproduce, and for some reason it's worse then ever! Cursor is shifting
wildly left-right when I type.
