behaviour. I've did 'sudo dpkg-reconfigure console-setup' and set
croatian font and keyboard, and after update-initramfs finishes I can
write croatian (latin) letters in console. Then, if I switch to X

OK, I'm guessing you already have installed and configured slrn
newsreader. Next step is to install slrnface:
sudo apt-get install slrnface
and put this in your $HOME/.slrnrc:
interpret “/usr/share/slrn/macros/slrnface.sl”
this will load slrnface macro at slrn startup.

The problem was that my $HOME/.slrnfaces folder was full of remained
pipes which caused slrnface to fail and nothing was displayed. After
cleaning my .slrnfaces folder now it works again. Luca thanks for your
help and this hint! Please close this bug.

I can confirm this behaviour. Installed 12.04.1 and enabled flgrx
driver. VNC is extremly slow and doesn't refresh screen. It works
normally with radeon driver. I also tried with latest fglrx driver but
it doesn't change anything.
