I looked at the code again and also measured placement and size by hand
with ruler, pen and paper on the N4 and N10... on both devices the logo-
spinner of the boot-animation is correctly centered. The size on both
devices also looks to be physically the same... thus the GU-based
scaling does work.

It is at version 0.4.6 now. There have been many changes and fixes been
added between 0.2.46 (the version you reported the bug on) and 0.4.6

This is obviously not a crash in unity. The dialog in the screenshot
indicates "gtk-logout-helper", reported packages indicates "nautilus",
but certainly not unity. Marking it as invalid (in relation to unity).

Matti, did you try to see if this still happens with a newer version of
unity? In the meantime many fixes have been added to unity. You reported
this on version 4.8.0 and we're now at 4.16.0. Thanks in advance!
