Here's the output of "xrandr --verbose" on this machine. It is using a 85hz vertical refresh rate, I hope it isn't a requirement of the card to have the xserver wake with the same frequency of the vertical refresh rate since the driver for newer ati cards doesn't exhibit the same wakeup issue. **
