I can't use postgres and I can't find a way to reinstall this program.

Just deleted over 100GB of logs from this bug. Fortunately, I caught it
before my system became unbootable.
It seemingly only occurs after a power state change. I've noticed it
when resuming from suspend and occasionally when plugging/unplugging
power from my laptop. It doesn't seem to occur *ever
I'm having the same issue. Worked fine in 11.04, but not after a clean
install of 11.10. All I get is the desktop wallpaper and a really
strange, very basic menu bar at the top of the screen.
This needs to be fixed ASAP! Anyone have ideas?
