Same problem here on ubuntu 8.10 server (2.6.27-7-server, i686), AthlonXP,
"nForce 2 ultra 400" chipset.
"shutdown now" command doesn't power off the server, I can even ping the
machine after this command was issued (although services like ssh and smb are
stopped immediately).

At least, in 8.04.1, I am unable to reproduce the bug !

No, this has only happened recently. And only on some videos.
Maybe it is worth mentioning that this problem seems to occur from videos of a
same "batch", that share encoding characteristics.
These are h264 for video.
AC-3 (?) for audio.

- fresh 14.04 install / live boot
- installed gnupg2 pcscd pcsc-tools scdaemon
Now my gnupg smartcard v2 isn't recognized by gpg(2), but with pcsc_scan

How it works again:
- manual install of libccid 1.4.12-1, then apt-get install pcscd p
been unmounted. Shortly after that,
system gets corrupted with I/O errors in syslog and I have to do hard restart.

I'm seeing this bug consistently whenever I go to the Keyboard Layout
page in System Settings ("gnome-control-center region") on one of my
machines when running as a normal user. Running as root it works fine
(but accesses different settings so is no use to me). I do get an error

Thanks Manuel for your swift response! I checked the new kernel (linux-
raspi) from the boostrap ppa (checked on 31.03.2025) and I can confirm
it works without problems for Pi Zero 2W.

What the patch submitted? I checked the nightly from 30.03.2025 (plucky-
preinstalled-server-arm64+raspi.img.xz) and the bug is still there (at
boot time it doesn't find any mmc device and further boot stops at
"Scanning for Btrfs filesystems").

I am having the same problem. The weired thing is: the first time I
start firefox after a reboot, widgets look - without the grey box. But
when I restart firefox, widgets are in this ugly box again.
I tried changing the GTK-style in the system-settings (QT4 and QTCurve
and others) but to no visibl
