I have the same problem:
After a suspend of my Laptop I am not able to find any Wireless Lan Hotspots.
The hotspot-list of the network manager is empty. Deactivating an activating
the boxes "Enable Wireless" and "Enable Networking" is useless.
sudo /etc/init.d/networking restart
or
sudo /etc/ini
Here is the DMESG output after a suspend.
After a while I typed in:
sudo rmmod ath_pci && sudo modprobe ath_pci
and the connection was established.

I just switched from Ubuntu / GNOME to Kubuntu / KDE (both Karmic Koala 9.10).
In GNOME the multi-monitor setting worked "out of the box" (with this monitor
tool in the system tray).

With NTFS I had problems too.

Problems / Crashs while
I tested my laptop with a Live-CD and I have the same problem (on this
university network).
But on a different network I plugged in an ethernet cable and everything just
worked fine and I had a perfect internet connection. So it's not a hardware
problem.

The drive is not completely detected on my laptop, too.
Ubuntu 11.10, Kernel 3.0.0-13-generic, 32bit
With the "Disk Utility 3.0.2" Tool I am able to discover the drive, but I get
error messages, whenever I try to format it:
