device section of your xorg.conf and see if you can find a config that boots
AlckO, can you paste "lspci -nn | grep VGA" here as well so I can see
exactly which card you have.
In general this bug is now well understood by the driver devs so we
basically just need to wait for them to fix upstream bug 17895. After
it's fixed we can see if we can cherry pick that patch for ub
closing against f-spot because I can run slideshows in f-spot using
intel G45 card and it works great (no such warnings are printed to the
terminal in my case). bug is probably in -nv or in mesa.

Today I got this weird broken package and it seems related. This is
currently blocking me from installing lots of other apps like "elisa"
etc. Is there a workaround I can use? I tried to remove anjuta (which I
never use anyway) but the error seems to prevent me from even

I just went through this very painful situation, after which my dmesg
look like this:

runs with sudo and sometimes not?
