Hi again,
the wiki material didn't seem relevant to my problem, since the system
does come back up, just without a working hard drive. Is there anything
else I can try? If not I'm going to start trying older (vanilla) kernels
soon to find out at which point it broke, and maybe find a patch

Hibernating works fine. I also get these messages _only_ after suspend,
never otherwise. I'll read through the wiki page soon.

Another bug is that launchpad thinks there is no bash-completion

To add to this bug, there is a typo in the caption also. It says
"Restart Require". Instead of adding a question to the message I would
suggest relabeling the buttons "Restart now" and "Restart later".

Hi there,
it works beautifully now. NetworkManager is still broken with the acx driver,
but it always has been. Wireless Assistant works perfectly though.
