This was at least helful to install libgtk2-perl on gutsy/lpia which is
required for the Gtk+ debconf frontend; this is pulled in the default

As I understand it, the issue is that the module isn't loaded because it
believes it can't handle this hardware but it can; this means that
tables of supported devices need to be updated in the kernel, hence I'm
reassigning to the "linux" package as this is not an acpid issue.
Please confirm wheth

there were reports of "[] BUG: Could not handle a NULL
pointer reference in kernel."; if the machine freezes, this is not an
userspace problem.

"interesting messages", these messages are generated straight from the
ACPI events as acpid receives them from the kernel, this is not a bug in
itself.
