"euca_conf -addnode" (whether it needed to be run as root or eucalyptus); it
actually runs:
EUCA_HOME=`su - -c 'echo $HOME' $EUCA_USER`
that's a bit ugly; I think it should use getent instead:

Hi
I think Java packages shouldn't depend on a specific default JRE but instead
use default-jre as the first option and java2-runtime as alternate; so isntead

it should be:

Hi
eucalyptus-cloud doesn't start for me because JAVA_HOME isn't set, in
/var/log/eucalyptus/cloud-output.log:
Error: JAVA_HOME is not defined correctly.
We cannot execute /usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun/bin/java
adding:
export JAVA_HOME=/usr/lib/jvm/default-java
after JAVA in /e
(Also JAVA seems unused)

You might also want to depend on default-jre since this init script calls java.
Something like:

I pushed support for "mmc-partition" in list-devices; note that it might
be a bit deceptive since it can't detect MMC partitions on USB connected
MMC drives (which are a frequent type in netbooks or screens).

So I think the installer does thing correctly in that it doesn't pull a
bootloader and doesn't setup kernel-img.conf to run it (on systems where
the bootloader is installed, kernel-img.conf has: "postinst_hook =

So flash-kernel is installed in the live-system (I see it in the
manifest); perhaps it shouldn't be, or should be removed from the

There's a way I can prevent it to fail though which is to mark it as
unsupported when there's no flash-kernel.conf; I think I'll upload that

My preference for initramfs-tools is still to add a new post-update-
