I used the mouse gesture to close a dialog window.
After that I opened another dialog window that displayed the history in it.
I clicked a link in history and pidgin crashed.

I've experienced the same issue yesterday, when trying to write a dvd at 16x
and all I got was something below that. Strangely enough, the system became
non-responsive 5 minutes after that and my dvd writer kept spinning on and on,
even after rebooting. I had to shutdown the system and restart it.

I managed to write one, it got verified, all went ok.
Then I wanted to write a second dvd using the same setup.

I had same problem - have tried installing or removing all sorts of
things, including openoffice. this removed the ubuntu-desktop package,
and it wouldn't install without that. I then added the desktop back,
and it insisted I install openoffice with it, which I did. Problem is
still the same tho
Thank you - it worked (well at least it has started downloading the
files, I guess I will find out in about 30 mins if the whole upgrade
will suceed ...)

So far so good on the upgrade - took 6 times longer than I thought but
otherwise seemed to go through OK. One hassle (Which was there before
but is very annoying) is that if it boots up and the screen isn't
switched on, it starts in 640 x 480 mode and I can't switch back again
