More precisely, it was disappearing each time I selected the Input as
you see on Screenshot-2.
Now from the Profile section at Screenshot-4 I chose another option,

With the last kernel it also freezes, but it is different.
With 2.6.32 it goes off, the LED is bliking, and it freezes when it
wakes up.
With 2.6.34 it freezes before going off.
It was the last boot, so should be at the bottom of the syslog attached.

Indeed, it seems that the themes don't have Pointer associated. They have
Controls, Colors, Windows Border, Icon.
Now I see other issues.
Lucid:
When you click on a Theme, it is applied immediately (Controls, Colors, Windows
Border, Icon).
