Short update on my situation. I had no problems whatsoever with Linux since I've moved back to 32bit. Furthermore I don't even need to use the pci=bios parameter anymore - as long as it's x86-32 Linux it just works out of the box. It would be nice to have 64bit version though (for stuff like mat
