I installed language-pack-sv 1:14.04+20140522 from trusty proposed and
can confirm that it fixes the issue on trusty as well.

At the moment it is not possible to open a file in Matlab directly by
clicking on it in Nautilus, because Matlab isn't part of the list of
applications which can open files when you right click Properties ->
Open with.
It appears Unity only lists applications which have "%f"
I'm still experiencing this issue, even after sudo apt-get update &&
sudo apt-get upgrade and a reboot.
