I have also some nuisance with Totem and Youtube. It seems to me that
Totem buffers the stream in real-time. If I pause the player, the stream
ceases as Dylan said. And when I start again, the transfer rate tries to
adjust to the player data consumption rate.

reproduce. The computer just came out of the standby, i opened a

If I switch to a terminal, the usage drops down.

No freeze with kernel: Linux 3.6.0-030600rc7-generic #201209232235 SMP
However, I can not show anything on laptop display. it stays blank, if
the HDMI cable was connected during boot.

I did not do anything special. The CPU just jumped up. I'll see, if the
problem persists and use the script again when the load is high. Sorry I
had to reboot...

What is the kernel in 12.10?
I made a decision that I would so much want to have a stable system and
my previous experiences of frequent distribution upgrades have been not-
so-good. Many times I was hoping for a better stability all in vain.
I definedly can not run standard 12.04 ubuntu because
Rabit: Currently running Linux 3.6.0-030600rc7-generic kernel. Has been
working very good. No hangs for over a week.
I tried also the 3.4 kernel which did not work for me either.

I downloaded Ubuntu 10.04.3 on 4.2.2012 and tried to boot my X40 laptop
with it. The screen goes blank and computer no longer responds. The
Livecd works on other computers, so the CD is not broken.
I have installed ubuntu 10.04.3 LTS on this computer and it runs ok from
