Don't appear to be able to find the appropriate log in Ubuntu - however
grepping journalctl there for blue* gives me:
journalctl |grep blue*

I see icon for mouse/touchpad - using the xubuntu team ppa's and the

Looking further - open parole with an empty playlist - add something,
play button inactive.
If one open's a recent entry from the menu - parole plays immediately
with play button active.

remove that item.
