I am looking at the repository now and all of the libxine-related
packages are all 1.1.11.1-1ubuntu3.
I am experiencing the same issue as described above. Amarok was working
with xine and pulseaudio fine and then after a reboot I got a popup
saying that I had to update my sound card with asoundcon

I figured out what the issue was:
This is related to Bug #191027 in totem, this is how I fixed my problem:
sudo rm -rf /tmp/* and a reboot
Now pulseaudio is back up and running and flash is responsive again.
This bug can be closed as it is not an issue with firefox or flash, but
pulseudio.
