Here is some fixes for Jaunty and Intrepid. In both with a terminal erase the
keyring in the file
/home/your-name/.gnome2/. When you reboot your computer will not know how to
start NetworkManager but you can train it again, like it is a new computer.
You can keep it away from keyring by hitting

I am looking for non-kernel problems and I draw your attention to the lspci
from Jaunty. I have looked and the wireless hardware is NOT listed! On the same
laptop I have 8.10 running and it gets wireless just fine.

and got quite a few updates while reloading when apt was loaded. I had
wireless working on the LiveCD at this time. I got joe and thunderbird
without problem and after 6 reboots the wireless continues to work! Here

I discovered this bug exists from at least 9.04 through 10.04 and is
a real problem to a new user, as it is to me an old user. I tried 10.04
yesterday and on one computer I found hitting esc worked and on my

after running sudo grub-install /dev/sda the grub list includes sda13.
The problem was that sda13 has a 10.04 in it which had a problem in
the /boot/grub/ directory. It has the grub2 files AND the grub1 files!

This IS a loader-RAID5 problem. It appears to be on a server version of
10.04 and the writer wonders if earlier versions may also have this bug.

Well I have Karmic installed on the laptop. When I was using the
LiveCD I got the network manager working just fine after giving it the
password for the wireless router. It was working while Karmic was
loading and when apt was loaded it got about 5 minutes of updates from
mirrors.

So the reason for the keyring problem is due to a Beta version 9.10
