Note that there is a date and a roadmap for Launchpad becoming free
software now.
As Mark pointed out, we're doing it in a way that encourages development
to stay focused around Launchpad.net, to maximize the "cross-project
view" potential. People can fork the free code if they really want to

That does indeed look very similar. But I'm not (consciously) using

Sorry for the late response. It turns out I only see this issue when
configured with dual monitors, and (for logistical reasons) I haven't
been able to set things up that way the last few days. Would you like
me to test this with the new kernel before the end of this week? (
Michael,
So you're saying it still reproduces for you even with Andy's new
kernels?

Thanks for all the help, Bryce. No desktop effects enabled, AFAIK, and
no 3D graphics either (I mostly live in Emacs and Firefox).
FWIW, I was using an external monitor setup then (mirrored screens, w/
laptop screen and one external screen). Now I'm using just the laptop
screen, after rebooting.

+1 on @tafthorne's suggestion in comment#21 that there be a widget that
a maintainer can use to easily swap a private master bug with some

also went into more detail than mine (mine left some steps as "exercises

I can't comment reliably on whether it's still an issue or not, as the
