I have the same issue with `gnome-terminal`, but also other
applications, like `gnome-system-monitor`, on Ubuntu 16.10, so this
might be a more widespread issue.

Since `/sbin/dhclient-script` is a bash script it's very hard to trace
back the error/figure out what actually happened because `bash` can't
provide information about exceptional states (line 28 is just the error
logging function).
I'd be appreciated if the script was ported
