By looking at the scripts, I can confirm this. But this bug can't be fixed
completely because lame is in multiverse, so it can only be suggested.
I would also not depend on these tools in universe, because they are only

Support for X3100 can be re-enabled in hardy, as the -intel driver seems to
work again (they changed to EXA, AFAIK).
I started Hardy Alpha 1, enabled compiz (using SKIP_CHECKS=yes), and played a
video.
Everything worked.

I tried to install Gutsy 64bit on my 6720s (GR644ET) and it works
perfectly. My card is an X3100. The only problem is you can only watch
videos or have 3D effects. BTW, it works in Fedora 8.
