the one in proposed is 3.13.0-54. "-virtual" is a form of transitional
package that pulls in the generic kernel, but there is a difference in
kernel modules loaded. Looks like you had some older kernels (3.13.0-32

Tested this on my 14.04.2 image on Azure and I see hyperv_keyboard and
hid_hyperv on 3.13.0-54 as expected. Restart time was improved.

application on it. I was able to balloon it up from its startup memory

Today I grabbed the 15.04 server daily from 4/16. I installed linux-
virtual, linux-tools-virtual, and linux-cloud-tools-virtual and after
booting verified that hid_hyperv and hyperv_fb were present. I will
update the documentation on TechNet to ensure users know to install
these packages on new VM
This happened for me with Precise beta 2. I had simply left a desktop up
overnight with no screen locking set.
