Glipper 2.4 was supposed to be released on January (see comment #2 on
this bug report), but it is not released yet. I'll get it touch with
upstream and see if I backport the history.patch or wait for the release
of 2.4

Hi, after checking the link you provided I see that you compiled the
alsa driver to solve the problem with you Mic. If you updated your
kernel (which I suspect you did with the automatic updates) it could be
the cause your sound to break.
