Same bug experienced. However clicking cancel on the NICE Value error
did not continue for me. Had to close adept, reopen and try again.
After having done this the update appeared to proceed (briefly) before
hitting the second error detailed in the ori

Although telling x11-common not to update does not resolve the issue,
and no other package is then displayed as you begin updating.

When Adept raised the Nice error, cancelling didn't seem to totally
remove the debconf prompt.. Or rather, it possibly did, but the
subsequent attempts to test Adept brought the issue up again, only the
Nice warnings were no longer shown.
