Also experiencing this bug, added zip with journal.txt + prevjournal.txt.
No crash log.
One observation:
After logging in using the CTRL-ALT-F4 to get a new shell, it seems the
X-cursor lockout happens when there are updates to install. I'm in the habit of
ending my day with checking for updates
Can confirm mouse movement seem to trigger bug, and also that WIN+L is valid,
good to not have to reboot via VT.
Enclosing 32 mb zipped crash report...
Hope this helps.

Triggered the bug again and used apport-cli this time. Also saved copy

It just struck me that I have a raspberry pi 5 running ubuntu that I think
displayed the same behaviour.
Ill try to find it and see if I can scare it into creating a crash dump.

I just ran ubuntu-bug /var/crash/, and from the dialogs popping up I
got the impression it was uploaded. If that was a dud, let me know the proper
incantation. :)
(As you can probably tell, reporting ubuntu bugs is not my day-job, but I'm not
completely untrainable)

Assuming we're seeing the same bug here (thinking of the differences wrt
crash files), the X cursor does follow mouse movement.
