I might be wrong, but I'd imagine that the coot.patch and coot.info here:
http://fink.cvs.sourceforge.net/fink/dists/10.4/stable/main/finkinfo/sci/
would be useful when packaging - even though the dependencies (as you say)
will need to be corrected.

Somewhat usefully perhaps, ccp4 has been packaged for fink:
http://pdb.finkproject.org/pdb/package.php/ccp4
It is my understanding that gpp4 covers a part of that ccp4 package, so it is
not a drop in replacement.
(Note that the licenses for ccp4 and gpp4 are different).
