I am also experiencing this bug, both fingerprintgui and fprint. It's not much
of a problem (weird mouse focus issues) but it would be nice to have a fix.

This occurs with my Lenovo T460 with Ubuntu 16.04. It happens quite
frequently, especially when using the trackpoint buttons (normal mouse
function can be restored temporarily by switching to the console (Alt +
F1) and back). The problem can be prevented by disabling the Trackpoint
and its button
