That sounds impressive ;)
Our usual test object if anjuta scales is the anjuta project itself
which is currently about 150k lines of code but it is pleasant to know
that it works for others, too and we might want to come back to offer.
In general if you have any suggestions etc. it is easier if y
If you start using upstream ppas, please do the same for anjuta and
install 3.0 from the gnome3 ppa. It is not unlikely that different vala
version are not supported by anjuta as it uses internal methods of
libvala which doesn't have a stable API.

It's more like: "Ubuntu should take care to have the required
dependencies of anjuta are installed!". If you build anjuta from source
the vala plugin won't be build if vala isn't installed as it requires
libvala-0.12.

It's the right place, I just wanted to make clear that this isn't an

I am just the upstream maintainer and I don't use Ubuntu myself so I
cannot tell you which version works but I assume that just disabling the
vala-ppa and running then installing the "vala" package should do.
Actually installing anjuta should automatically pull in the correct

I added "vala" as affected package. I think launchpad is the correct way
to report this issues at least I don't know of any other.

The vala plugin is only for autocompletion and auto-indentation.
However, anjuta 3.0 (from the gnome3 ppa) can of course create vala
projects, see also the tutorials on developer.gnome.org. Anjuta 2.32 was
released quite some time ago and vala wasn't that big back then.

anjuta <= 3.0.3 are not able to detect autogen 5.11.x correctly. This is
fixed upstream, see the gnome bug I linked it.

If it isn't possible for natty (which I can understand regarding the
general Ubuntu GNOME policy) would it be possible to update the package
in the gnome3-ppa? It currently has 2.91.3 which is very old and it is
missing glade completely.
Thanks!
