Firefox 3.0.3 in 8.10 crashes on important java applet for Bank-ID. This
is used by some banks and some state agencies in Sweden (and also Norway
i think) to identify the user.
After upgrading to 8.10 does this applet crash firefox. The cpu-usage
Tested with epiphany 2.24 and the applets works

I found the culprit: Adblock Plus
This is an extension for firefox to filter ads on webpages.
I can be turned of for certain pages but I didn't work.
Guess I have to watch a lot more advertising in the future.
I tested the latest developer version but it didn't help.

I guess the page has been opened as latin 1 and then been saved as UTF-8

The level of PCM playbacki in alsa is to high in 8.10 compared to 8.04
on my Fujitsu Siemens Si 1520. The old limits was 0 ti 20 and the new is
0 to 43 with default on 35. This makes the playing of sound noisy and

10 to make it work.

A workaround
In gnome: Select System > Settings Sun Java x.x Control Panel
In terminal: jcontrol
1) Select the tab advanced.
2) Expand the node "Java-console"
3) Select show console (default is hide)
Now will the console show up the first time you run an applet. You can keep it
open for debuggi
Testing 9.04 beta and the problem has not been resolved. tshirtman asks
for sound card name and models. I have

The fix "LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/lib/firefox python" doesn't work any more
in gutsy.
gtkmozembed finds the library without the fix.
% ldd /var/lib/python-support/python2.5/gtk-2.0/gtkmozembed.so

But now I only get a Segmentation f
I'm running with Swedish language and export bitmap allways failed.
But if I start Inkscape like this:
env LC_ALL=C inkscape
This will start the program in English and export works.
