I have 12.04 32bit with a NVIDIA GPU Quadro NVS 290 dual monitor with one
large X Screen.
I've experienced this problem since I updated to 12.04, crashes often enough to
seriously disturb my work.
It might be network activity related, but the crash is in the nvidia driver

Correct, there was nothing in dmesg for the other 2 crashes.
The report was created right after crash 3.

@ddadap, I just got the blackscreen -> logout bug with gdb attached but
this time gdb failed with the following and no backtrace was available,
nothing in dmesg:
