Cmon guys this really needs to be fixed. I manage to install java6 with
the "manual" method but now I cannot install anything else because I
have "broken dependencies".

The same here. I have a dual-boot with Windows 8 and Ubuntu 12.10
currently installed, and it hangs if I try to install raring (64-bits).
