hours of frustration. Lucid is working fine, with absolutely no issues. I
installed 10.10 2 different ways with the exact same results. First, I did an
upgrade from 10.04. When I had the problem, I did a new

Geez this is annoying. There are so many terminal applications that use
F1: vim, screen, htop, etc.
It really seems like the simplest solution would be to change the
default to Alt+F1.

In Ubuntu 11.04, backintime fails to backup. There is no error listed in the
log, just the line
[I] Take snapshot (rsync: rsync error: some files/attrs were not transferred

Several items. I checked the option "continue on errors" and took
another anaphot. This time it completed and displays the snapshot with
the phrase" WITH ERRORS". I checked the log file and there was these
lines:
[I] Take snapshot (rsync: ./)
[I] Take snapshot (rsync: IO error encountered -- skipp

I tried the solution to bug 548992 and it did not work for me, although
I have this same issue when I boot into Windows 7 so perhaps mine is
being caused by something else. I can't connect to WEP or even unsecured
networks. I hope it's not hardware.

I am currently unable to upgrade to natty. If and when I do, I will
revisit this issue. I have been currently unable to boot under 10.10
after installing most updates. I then need to re-install NVIDEA driver
from their website. The original update must have wiped out some
critical video on my syste
