I can validate this fix, it worked for me with my logitech quickcam pro
4000 using the pwc driver and 2.6.27-7-generic kernel. All I had to do
was add the repos, and do the update. No reboot or other fussing around
needed. Pending other problems I'd call this bug fixed.

changing a video setting and it crashed. Now, Ekiga crashes on every

Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: lottanzb
using lottanzb 0.5.3-1 on ubuntu 9.10 and all was well. After upgrading
to 10.4, now it won't start. Tried re-installing it, but no joy. Python
is 2.6.5-0ubuntu1, hellanzb is 0.13-6, unrar (nonfree) is 1:3.9.3-1,
unrar-free is 1:0.0.1+cvs200711
Thanks for the quick fix!
It was in the ~/.config/lottanzb/hellanzb.conf file, and that did the
trick.
Downloaded a test file and it's working like a champ. My
/home/user/.lottanzb dir seems to have disappeared, but it doesn't seem
to need it.
thanks again.

Same thing here, except I have an ATI Radeon 4350 and dual screens.
Mouse cursor completely disappears and visual effects is reset to
'none'. Re-enabling the visual effects fixes the problem, but every re-
boot resets it.

I have not done a bios upgrade, yet, but DID disable KMS by putting
'nomodeset' in grub2. I still get a flickering (and downward trending)
change in brightness whenever I play a movie. I've repeated this with
avi, flv, and mpg files and several different players including vlc.
This may be separate
I confirm this is still a problem with the RC on kernel 3.6.31-14
This is a show-stopping bug on the MSI Wind. Ubuntu, Kubuntu, and UNR

Don't expire this, instead please fix it. Network-manager doesn't see

regression.
I see that mobile broadband is a tab in network-manager, except there is
no way to specify the device to use, and apparently it also ignores
modems.

This bug is not invalid, it's very validand STILL exists all the way
up to Karmic. nm ignores modems, and that's how tethered phones like the

Tethered phones are seen as modems and nm ignores them as that functionality
was dropped. Unfortunately, a lot of people still use tethered phones instead
of usb dongles. So, this is a regression, and it's been present for 3 versions
of Ubuntu so far.
There is no reason people should have to us

Same here, I have 1:0.9.14-0ubuntu20.2 installed and it has my PCM at 0 volume
and muted every startup.
I have found out this, though. If I have to kill my system (NOT go through the
normal shutdown) the pcm volume is ok when the system comes back up. So, I must
infer that whatever is doing this

I found this to be a huge regression in usability. My motherboard has
one of those 'odd' soundchips, and every time I reboot I find the PCM
muted and the volume zeroed. I get desktop sounds but nothing from any
media that I play. Once I upgraded to karmic, I had no way to correct
this problem. Had
