I'm also getting the "acpid exiting" hang. Is this a different bug? It
sure seems to be. I'm running an Acer Aspire 5602 WLMi.

Does the other bug have anything to do with "acpid: exiting" showing
up after trying to reboot? It will hang like this for a while and then
the reboot will happen.
