After seeing the animation I notice that the list of moves makes the
window grow.
This can be reproduced by starting a new game, resizing the window to
its smallest possible size, and making a move. This causes the move to
be displayed in the list of moves, which resizes the whole window.

This bug was reported at gnome almost 2 years ago. Still it is present
in Ubuntu. At least 2 version are affected: 7.10 and 8.04. I suspect
7.04, 6.10 and 6.04 have this problem as well (based on the date the bug
is reported at gnome).
The gnome bug talks about fixing it for gnome 2.14, 2.15, 2.16
I can confirm this problem. After doing a "CREATE DATABASE torrentflux;"
in MySQL the installation finished without a problem.
